Allevard-les-Bains is the capital city of a “canton” situated between Grenoble, Isère and Chambéry, Savoie. Situated above the Grésivaudan valley, this city has an environmental mid-high of average mountain of 475 meters above sea-level, dominated with 3000 meters high peaks.

                This thermal city Allevard-les-Bains,is the heart of the little country. Breda mountain stream crosses it has its origin on plates of the 7 Laux’s lakes, at the end of Haut Bréda’s Valley. Allevard is a little city in the nature. It is equipped with multidisciplinary leisure devices and has a non-profit organization’s life rich and dynamic. Be it in the cultural or in the sport field, the thermal city turns towards the future with the realization of a new versatile room. It will accommodate sport competitions, shows and the creation of a new museum which has been granted Musée de France label thanks to the quality of its collections about thousand years old history of ore of iron’s treatment. A mountain preserved, ramble for every shoe size, the Pays d’Allevard’s mountain hides many secrets, well-kept by animals met along 300 km of footpath. A paragliding flight in a site universally recognized, or climbing on the Bassius’ rock will allow you to appreciate all our well hidden valley’ beauty.

Allevard-les-Bains is dedicated to well-being, life and nature. 2007 and 2008 will see many projects concretization and the opening of structure which will reinforce all the dynamism of the little city in 4000 inhabitants!
