Trail routes

The area around Allevard-les-Bains offers a playground for trail runners that is as rejuvenating as it is stimulating. A variety of trails, accessible from the town centre or the surrounding hamlets, allow you to alternate between effort and discovery, with panoramic views over the Belledonne, hilltop villages and shady wooded areas.

Crêts-en-Belledonne, just a stone’s throw away, completes the offer with more undulating routes, passing through hamlets, clearings and unobstructed views over the Grésivaudan valley.

Here, you don’t need to go far to get away from it all: just put on your trainers and set off to explore unspoilt nature at your own pace.

Running to recharge your batteries

The trail routes in Allevard and Crêts-en-Belledonne are designed for those who like to run leisurely, discovering as they go. These varied loops through woodland and viewpoints are perfect for beginners, those who want to train or simply enjoy themselves. Whether you set off from the spa centre or from a hamlet on higher ground, each trail invites you to explore the mountains in a different way, between cool shade and discreet ridges.

Why trail run at Allevard-les Bains?

It’s one of the few places in the mountains where you can set off on a variety of trails without necessarily looking for performance. Allevard-les-Bains and Crêts-en-Belledonne are the perfect combination of accessibility and wilderness. Here, the trail routes start from the heart of the village, the hamlets or in the forest, with just the right amount of difference in altitude to give you pleasure. You’ll be running to get some fresh air, to discover landscapes that are both discreet and powerful, and to alternate gentle climbs with rolling sections. And after the effort, you can even recuperate… in the thermal waters of Allevard.

Reconnaissance of the Échappée Belle routes

Prepare for your participation in the Échappée Belle by discovering the reconnaissance routes proposed by the organisers!

Intégrale, Skyrace, Traversée Nord, Parcours des Crêtes or 42km: plan your outings for a day or several days, with information on nearby refuges, safety tips and access.

And that's not all...

The Belledonne Chartreuse region doesn’t stop there. For a variety of terrain and sensations, head for the 7 Laux and its more challenging high-altitude routes, the Collet, an accessible and wild spot with its paths overlooking the valley, or the Plateau des Petites Roches in Chartreuse. Each sector has its own atmosphere, each outing its own terrain. One thing never changes: the freedom of running in the middle of the mountains, in unspoilt countryside.
