    The hut that used to be a shelter for the sheperd, was transformed to become a dormitory for the hikers crossing Belledonne. There is nothing like the view you will admire from the refuge which will be even better if you are enjoying it while eating one of the hosts specialties !

  • Whether you are a good hiker or not, you will enjoy climbing to the "Refuge de la Pierre du Carre" while picking wild strawberries or blueberries on your way up. You will be welcomed by the keeper who can also invite you to another journey admiring the stars with a telescope.

    Since 2010, It is runned by Guylain and Patricia who are pleased to receive nature lovers, brave hikers walking the GR 738 or the tour du Pays d’Allevard, trail runners for the race Echappée Belle, families who want...

    Since 2010, It is runned by Guylain and Patricia who are pleased to receive nature lovers, brave hikers walking the GR 738 or the tour du Pays d’Allevard, trail runners for the race Echappée Belle, families who want to enjoy a night in a hut, tourists and locals.During summertime you can stay overnight and eat for lunch and dinner nice meals cooked with fresh products.
    During wintertime, the hut is closed but you can find the key in Allevard’s townhall on reservation only.

    Unfortunately it will not be possible to stay overnight this year 2020 due to the covid-19 disease, Restaurant is still open, for lunch, dinner, or picnic to go on reservation only.
